PREMISES, LIBRARY AND OTHER FACILITIES

In keeping with its non-traditional objectives, the Institute operates departmentally from residential bases of staff for administrative and tutoring purposes and from church, schools and community premises for its teaching/learning activities.

It is served by independent legal, medical, technological and business agencies on a pay-as-you-go basis. It also engages other paid or volunteer workers for PR representation on long/short term basis.

IT runs an internal systems library and resources network, alongside fostering links with other public and private libraries and resource centres for the use of its staff and students.

STUDENT BODY, ALUMNI ASSOCIATION AND ASSOCIATES OF THE INSTITUTE

At all stages, pupils, students, scholars, are encouraged to have a voice in the running of the institution. This is a policy of participation and involvement which the Institute believes is of the utmost possible importance in its non-traditional setting.

In the Further and Higher Education Department, there is a student fellowship with a representative, an alumni association with a chairman, and a forum for associates/friends of the Institute with a president. Each of these group is served by a committee and can be contacted on 020-8641 8690. The Institute relies on the work they do for its maintenance and continuity, and therefore strongly encourages participation in them of all concerned and interested. As a gesture of appreciation, contributors may in turn be elected for an honorary award of Membership/ Associateship/ Fellowship of the Institute.
